Ali Rajabali

Community Engagement and Conservation Officer

I am the newest staff member to start with the CET at the end of 2021 as the Community Engagement and Conservation Officer. Prior to this I completed a practical conservation traineeship and I have an MSc in Wildlife Conservation. Connecting people to nature, carrying out practical conservation tasks and biological recording are my strengths, this role allows me to make use of these skills.

Leading volunteer groups and enabling people to contribute is a big focus of my job. Having volunteered in the nature conservation sector for a few years, I aim to bring that know-how into my day-to-day work. I love our tiny creatures such as bees and butterflies and am always looking for ways to help to study and appreciate them.

Outside of the work environment I am passionate about travelling, exploring landscapes and am an avid photographer. I also enjoy taking part in sports such as badminton, football and watching films.
