A few years after leaving university full of ambition to inspire the future generation to protect their environment I finally discovered CET and in 2010 I became a volunteer, supporting Alicia with the delivery of projects in Castle Vale. In 2012 I was given the opportunity to train as a Level 3 Forest School Practitioner and officially started working with the local Primary Schools.
As of 2014, I took on my current role as Project Officer, which focuses on managing and delivering our Forest School and Youth Group projects, as well as providing volunteering and work experience placements within these. My passion is to take learning outdoors as much as possible, as I firmly believe nature is our most valuable educational resource.I can also be seen attending some of our Community Engagement events/workshops as I have a personal investment as a local resident in making Castle Vale a greener place to live in.
When not at work I enjoy exploring the outdoors with my family, which includes two dogs who love our UK-based adventures. I also like visiting independent shops, in particular second-hand book shops and bakeries!!!
