– The allotments and conservation area provide opportunities for the local community to engage with us and our green spaces through regular and one-off events. Our Community Engagement and Conservation Officer is always keen to meet residents and to organise and lead events that bring everyone together.
Currently, we deliver ‘Health and Wellbeing Walks’ every Wednesday at 10am, participants meet outside the conservation area entrance by the allotments and enjoy an hour-long walk, whilst learning about nature.
One-off events are also held to raise awareness or to celebrate during special occasions such as Big Garden Birdwatch, World Bee Day or City Nature Challenge. Activities during these events can include birdwatching, making insect homes or recording species and guided walks.
