Duke of Edimburgh

 – DofE Award is a voluntary, non-competitive programme of activities for anyone aged 14 to 24. It gives young people the opportunity to experience new activities or develop existing skills.

CET became a Licensed Organisation in 2019 thanks to DofE’s ‘Bridging the Gap’ programme which aims to reach more young people from diverse backgrounds and to provide additional opportunities for personal development, especially to those not able to access DofE in a school or college.

We want to encourage anyone to do this award and can help with all three sections (volunteering, skills and physical), in addition, we will facilitate the group to partake in their expedition. We have equipment, clothes and other kits that can be borrowed so everyone is able to take part. We are also looking into doing expeditions in boats which can open the award up to people with mobility issues or people who can’t walk up hills or carry lots of weight.
